Elise, " Hi, my name is Elise and I have been a Peer Mentor at Blue Datto since it first launched". Degree: Completed a Bachelor of Education. Occupation: A Primary School Teacher. Hobbies: Fitness, music and finding cool things to do in my classroom for my students. What is something that not everybody knows about you? I absolutely love sloths! They are literally the best animal ever. But i also love music and probably couldn't live without it. How did Blue Datto help with your career? Being a Peer Mentor taught me skills I needed to work with young students. It taught me how to talk in front of large groups, and gave me the confidence in presenting which is crucial in teaching. Working for the organisation helped me realize my potential in leading others. Why did you decide to become a Peer Mentor? I chose to work for Blue Datto as I went to school with Phil and he was a good friend of mine. Going through something like our year and the community did, when we lost Phil, was truly heart breaking. I really wanted to be able to change even just one persons attitude. I am really passionate about making people realize the seriousness of speaking up and getting themselves out of potentially dangerous situations. Working for Blue Datto is a community within itself and offers us so many amazing opportunities.
